Encouraging messages appear as the player achieves scoring levels of 6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 hits. After completing 24 trials, a new game can be started.
The ESP Trainer provides multi-sensory feedback and reinforcement, creating an ideal learning environment for developing psychic abilities. It helps players recognize their intuitive impressions and reach a level of intuitive awareness beyond their previous experiences.
The primary objective of the trainer is to familiarize players with the sensation of psychically selecting the correct square. If players do not experience that special feeling, they are encouraged to press the Pass button. This feature ensures that it is not a "forced choice" test.
During a year-long NASA program with 145 subjects (under Contract 953653 NAS7-100), many participants showed significant improvement in their scores. Remarkably, four subjects achieved improvement rates of one hundred-to-one or better. The effectiveness of this approach has also been observed on Wall Street, although it's important to note that past results do not guarantee future performance.
